Courtney (a.k.a. Ghost Mom)
After living in a haunted house in Vermont, Courtney’s path to owning a ghost tour seemed inevitable. A University of Rhode Island BFA graduate, she and her friend Mike (a.k.a. Ghost Dad, though no longer with the tour) combined their creativity and passion for storytelling to launch Providence Ghost Tour in 2006. With experience guiding Newport Ghost Walk and her own paranormal encounters, Courtney became the lead guide and storyteller, now the proud sole owner of the tour.
When she’s not sharing eerie tales, she enjoys hiking with her husband and their dog, Rhea Rose (a.k.a. Providence Ghost Pup), road trips, and experimenting in the kitchen—sometimes successfully, sometimes not. Ironically, despite her love for the supernatural, she’s a self-proclaimed scary movie chicken who sleeps with the lights on after anything too spooky.
KELLY
Kelly joined Providence Ghost Tour in 2008 and has been thrilled to return each year since. With a long-standing interest in the paranormal, she is always exploring the mysteries of the world around us. Kelly considers herself critically open-minded—she believes there are things beyond our understanding and is open to the idea of spirits, particularly as she has had unexplainable experiences both on the tour and in her life. However, she always seeks a more "rational" explanation first, which only makes the unexplained moments more profound for her.
Kelly embraces the uncertainty and sees it as a fundamental part of the wonder of the paranormal. Beyond storytelling, she relishes the opportunity to share both history and ghostly experiences with her guests—and, yes, she enjoys dressing up a bit! She especially loves leading smaller tours (6-15 people), where she can connect more deeply with guests. When she’s not guiding, Kelly shares her love of theater with youth and treasures watching her children explore the world (although, when her son waves to the corner of the room and says, "Hi," Kelly wonders if he sees something she doesn't).

STEPHANIE
Stephanie has been a Ghost Guide since 2015 and has had a love for ghost stories since childhood. Originally from South County, she is a graduate of the URI Theater Department, where she studied acting and costume design. By day, she’s a master seamstress, and by night, she tells eerie tales in the historic streets of Providence—dressed to impress in a fancy gown. It’s the perfect blend of her two passions.
CLAY
Clayson "Clay" Fox is an experienced guide both on land and sea, leading guests through Providence’s haunted streets on the Ghost Tour, the Parasols and Pocket Watches History Tour, and on Haunted Boat Rides with the Providence River Boat Company. When he’s not sharing eerie tales and historical facts, Clay pursues his love of theater. He is the Associate Artistic Director of the Rhode Island Shakespeare Rep, a group of Shakespeare enthusiasts dedicated to education and performance.

Caitlyn (Cait)
Cait's fascination with the macabre began at a young age when she devoured Alvin Schwartz's Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Her childhood was marked by spooky tales she’d share with her cabinmates at sleepaway camp, even getting in trouble for scaring them all into sleepless nights. Now, as a guide for Providence Ghost Tours, Cait continues to share her love for the supernatural. Outside of her ghostly tours, Cait works with the Coast Guard, and she lives in a converted boathouse in historic Pawtuxet Village with her family, two cats, and one dog.
CARSON
Carson has been a guide with Providence Ghost Tours since 2023. Known for their masterful storytelling, Carson brings a unique human touch to the eerie tales they tell.
An actor, writer, and passionate Rhode Islander, Carson’s favorite fictional ghost story is Jade Green by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. They bring both the supernatural and the relatable to their tours.

ALURA
Alura is thrilled to return to Providence Ghost Tour, where her journey began in 2008. A full-time theater teacher at Beacon Charter High School, she leads a dynamic program with two productions a year while also serving as musical director and choreographer. With a background in both community and professional theater, she brings a passion for storytelling to every tour.
A lifelong performer with a degree in performance and theater education, Alura has also worked as a private vocal and acting coach—and even as a karaoke DJ. When she’s not guiding or teaching, she enjoys time with her children, all deeply involved in the arts. She’s honored to once again share Providence’s haunted history and can’t wait to bring its spirits to life.
Stephen
Stephen has been a Ghost Guide with Providence Ghost Tour since 2021. Known for his booming voice and affable approach to storytelling, guests love the twists and turns he offers in his tales- from charming to alarming in the blink of an eye! Stephen got his start with the Historical Society in his hometown in Connecticut, creating a ghost tour to help raise funds in support of it. He continues to host that tour every year! Stephen is a graduate of University of Rhode Island, where he honed his love of History.
